I am not certain if everyone has heard of this but, there have been a lot of controversy surrounding the child actors of Slumdog Millionaire. From the child actors not being payed enough, to the fact that even after doing such a successful movie, they are still in slums.

If this wasnt already bad, to add to it; when Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail came back home from the Oscars (After winning 8 awards) to his Dharavi Slum in Bandra, Mumbai, he was slapped and kicked by his father as a form of discipline. He apparently did this as Azhar wanted to be left alone and did not want to go and speak to the press after his long flight.
